Come Help Us Celebrate!!!

WOW!!! We've had so much fun since we got back from Portland Quilt Market! (See our previous post for the big news!) Your cards and emails have been so much fun to read! And, of course, we want to share the fun with you in person! Soooo, we will be hosting an Open House at the store on Saturday, June 8th from 1-4! Won't you drop in if you're in the area and share in the celebration?! We'll have refreshments, door prizes galore, and a free gift for stopping by!
And, you can see our beautiful quilt "YoYo Flower Baskets" in person, as well as pre-order your magazine and quilt kit! Really, this is just too good to miss, so mark your calendar, and we'll see you soon!! Katie and Lisa P.S.- Sorry for the excess of exclamation points, but, heck yes, we're still over-the-moon excited!!!

First Annual QOV Retreat!

Katie and I (and friends!) were thrilled to join a group of thirty-five women from all over the northwest and California to meet in Valley County, Idaho. Our purpose? To make Quilt of Valor quilt tops- and make them we did! Our little group managed to piece 17 beautiful tops over 3 days!! In fact, we enjoyed it so much, Katie and I are hosting a similar event next spring! Interested in joining us? Just email me at lisa@huckleberrypatches.com for email updates and to sign up this fall. It's a great way to give back to those who have given everything for us. Lisa and Katie

Civil War Women

Spring is a time of new beginnings, and that's why we're so excited to tell you about our new group, Civil War Women! We'll meet once a month to discuss the varied effects the Civil War had on families, society, and the nation. We'll also be making quilt blocks! Using Barbara Brackman's book, Civil War Sampler, we'll make two blocks a month- one in a $2.50 kit from us and one from your stash. If you make the blocks, the next month is free! This is a great group for working on hand piecing your blocks, or make yoyos, hexies, embroidery... your choice! Our group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 1:00- please join us! Happy Stitching, K & L
